Travel Partner / Companion for Cruising France’s Rivers and Canals next Summer

Join me on my luxurious, spacious and comfortable 50 foot, 3 cabin, 2 shower-room, newly-built Dutch motor yacht.

I’m looking for one or two travelling companions (preferably female) of any age, easy going and with a sense of humour for trips of about 2 weeks – one leaving very soon and another in early October. We’ll be cruising along rivers and historic canals, through beautiful French countryside and stopping off at medieval towns and villages. We have bikes on board for visiting nearby places of interest. The boat is currently at Sancerre on the beautiful River Loire.

No experience or strength needed, just a willingness to learn the ropes and a knack of anticipating what needs to be done. Cooking skills and speaking some French an advantage as I’m pretty useless, although I can manage the barbeque!

We share the cost of on-board food, eating out, mooring fees (often free) and other day-to-day expenses. All I ask is a small weekly contribution towards the fuel costs – so a tiny fraction the price of a normal Dutch Barge holiday!
